Hey guys. My download speed is extremely slow. similar really really slow. merely my upload speed is ok. I just called my internet access provider and they said I seem to be getting normal speed which is l mb/s but when I run tests it shows a ridiculous 993 kb/s download speed and a normal 2.2 mb/southward upload speed. I have a ps4 continued via ethernet cable and iphone using wifi both indicatin very like reaults. btw the router is huawei hg658c v2.

whatever idea what'due south going on?

Has the download always been dull or did this just start out of the blue? Did you lot alter anything around the fourth dimension this started?

I assume you have tried bandwidth tests from a couple unlike places(speedtest.cyberspace, speedtest.googlefiber.net, DSLReports, etc) and all show the same event. Do you have any other devices on the network that you can test with? Hi once again. I recently got the router. information technology's new merely the issue has been effectually for a while.

I employ the modem provided by the internet service provider and I didn't change anything. I tried resetting the modem merely naught changed. I did test the connectedness using a dissimilar device only the result is the same.

2 Routers doing the aforementioned affair makes me wonder about the modem (especially now that i know y'all have i) ... have you ever plugged a device directly into the modem and tested that way? Most modems have admin page that you tin can log into ... accept you ever looked at that to run into what your connexion statistics are?

By all those metrics, your line is great. It has to be something wrong with the modem or the Ethernet line you are using to connect to it. Ask your Internet access provider what their policy is on replacing modems. I think they should do it gratuitous, but not all ISPs concur with me.

I guess that'southward my only option. so we hold that in that location'southward no trouble with the line or the cables between the primary box and my router. it has to be the modem. Cheers anotherdrew! I really appreciate information technology.
